I was lucky enough to spend a week in Mexico last month. And like any good photographer with his priorities in order, I couldn't wait to take some travel photos!
There is something about that Tropic of Cancer sky that is difficult to put into words. It's so much different than the sky here in Vancouver (and not just because it's cloudy here 80% of the time!). The Mexican sky is somehow muted and neon at the same time. Combined with green palms, turquoise water, white sand, and warm architecture it's a fun place to make pictures.
I came home with a lot of keepers, but I was particularly happy with how the two abstract photos below turned out.
